The useful comparison is against magnet performance or specs: magnetic output, temperature behavior, coercivity margin, geometry, coating, magnetization, inspection method, and validation requirements.
Production continuity planning
The best time to qualify an alternate path is before allocation, licensing delay, or customer escalation. A review may include Sintered HRE-Free NdFeB, dysprosium-free NdFeB, SmCo, bonded NdFeB, ferrite substitutions, alternate coatings, or assembly-level changes when the magnetic circuit allows.
