AXIS MAGNETICS

Custom NdFeB Magnets

Custom NdFeB magnets specified for the way the part works.

Custom NdFeB magnets are rarely only a grade choice. Axis Magnetics can review the material, coating, magnetization, tolerance, edge condition, magnetic measurement method, and assembly fit so prototypes can translate into repeatable production.

Sourcing focus

Each review starts with the application, then works through material, coating, magnetization, validation, origin, and production requirements.

Geometry, tolerance, and edge condition

Blocks, arcs, rings, discs, countersunk shapes, and machined geometries each create different production and handling risks. The review can include chamfers, plating buildup, brittle edges, assembly clearance, and critical-to-function dimensions.

Coating and corrosion planning

NdFeB is corrosion-sensitive, so coating choice should match humidity, salt, adhesive bonding, overmolding, press-fit assembly, oil exposure, cosmetics, cleanliness, and validation requirements.

Magnetization and measurable output

The quote package should define magnetization direction, pole count, polarity marking, test location, acceptable output window, and whether the final measurement is surface gauss, flux, pull force, torque, or application-level sensor response.
